Rotax 914 Series Maintenance Course


Pre-Requisites:
1. Completion of a Rotax authorized 914 Series Service course within the last 24 months
2. Experience maintaining Aircraft Piston Engines.

Intended Audience:
Maintenance Personnel seeking in-depth Maintenance information on Rotax 914 Series Aircraft Engines.

2 Day hands-on course covering the following with reference to the Rotax Line Maintenance & Heavy Maintenance Manuals:
 

 • Detailed Maintenance issues, tips and tricks, and Removal and Replacement (LRU) of the following Systems or Components:
      • Cylinder Heads
      • Cylinders and pistons
      • Intake / exhaust system
      • Carburetors
      • Ignition system
      • Gearbox
      • Starter
      • Oil Pump
      • 914 exhaust & Turbo assemblies
      • 914 fuel system
      • 914 TCU system function test & calibration
 • Maintenance and troubleshooting issues
 • Test run of engine including hands on troubleshooting

Conclusion:
At the end of this 2 day 914 Maintenance course, the learner will have gained basic proficiency and pre-requisite experience in exchanging components (LRU) and advanced troubleshooting of the Rotax 914.

• Certificate of attendance awarded for successful completion.
iRMT applicants are issued an iRMT Certificate with Maintenance Rating (914 Series).
• Eligibility to enter the iRMT Heavy Maintenance Course.
• Serves as pre-requisite experience for engine type as listed in FAR 65.81.
• Serves as 16 hours of initial, recurrent or update training when and where applicable.
