independent Rotax Training Organization (iRTO) Programs **Available in 2008**

Colleges, Technical Institutes, Universities and OEM’s wanting to instruct Rotax on 912 and 914 Series Aircraft Engine maintenance can now receive authorization from the regional Rotax Distributor to offer standardized Rotax Service and Maintenance training. See outline here.
 

Pre-Requisites and Ratings:
 1. Successful submission of a Service Course lesson plan meeting the objectives of the Rotax “Intended
    Learning Outcome Plan (ILOP)”
2. Successful submission of a 914 Service Course lesson plan meeting the objectives of the Rotax “Intended
    Learning Outcome Plan (ILOP)”
3. Successful submission of a Maintenance Course lesson plan meeting the objectives of the Rotax “Intended Learning
    Outcome Plan (ILOP)”.
 4. Successful submission of a 914 Maintenance Course lesson plan meeting the objectives of the Rotax “Intended Learning
    Outcome Plan (ILOP)”.
5. Successful submission of a Heavy Maintenance Course lesson plan meeting the objectives of the Rotax “Intended Learning
    Outcome Plan (ILOP)”.
6. Successful submission of a list of “training aids” to be used in the specific course presentations.
7. Qualified independent Rotax Technical Instructor (iRTI) on staff for course presentation.
8. Organization shown to have adequate industry experience delivering technically related topics.
9. Course delivery conversant and understandable in written and spoken language pertinent to student base.
10. Facilities adequately suitable for the delivery of the approved course. 


Intended Applicants:
• Qualified Technical Institutes (Universities, Colleges, Schools etc.) wanting to offer Rotax 912 and 914 Series Aircraft Engine
  Service and Maintenance training to their curriculum.
• Qualified Organizations (Clubs, FBO’s, AMO’s, ATO’s, Service Centers, Repair Centers, OEM’s etc.) wishing to offer Rotax
  912 and 914 Series Aircraft Engine Service and Maintenance training.
• Qualified Individuals looking to become instructors and start training programs for Rotax 912 and 914 Series Aircraft Engine
  maintenance.


Conclusion:
• Issuance of an iRTO Certificate (limited to iRTO rating accomplished ie. Service, Maintenance, Heavy Maintenance).
