Ron, I got your name from Dino Augerinos on the Rotary Wing Forum.

He said you can tell me the year MFG of my 532 by serial number. I am trying to find out if mine came with points or CDI without tearing into it.

Any help would be appreciated.

Serial No. 3672377

Thank you

Sorry that serial number does not show up, must be a sled engine?
Who is this Ron guy?

Rob

Sorry I don't know Ron. It was just a name that was given to me from a Rotary Wing Forum member that thought he could help me find the year of MFG on my 532.

Pretty sure its not a Sled Engine and serial number is correct.

Thank you for trying. I appreciate it.

Rob, I'm sorry I don't understand the humor there but again I just wanted to let you know I sincerely appreciate your efforts in the search.

According to the log book and my visual inspection the serial number is 3672377.
Perhaps it is a converted sled motor. I really don't know the difference.
I am just trying to convert it from points to CDI. If I understand this correctly all 532's can be converted to internal trigger CDI. I found a guy in eBay that sells a complete kit with flywheel for $235.00 shipped. Thought that was pretty good price.

This is a pic of my motor when it was for sale in 2010. Does this look like a converted sled engine? You can even make out the serial number on the plate.

Thanks again

Mark

I will have to ask someone with more 2-stroke experience.
