I have a 912 uls that i have been trying to figure it out it fowls the 2 front cylinders when it sits for a few days i have shut the fuel off and run it dry and make sure i purge the oil out of the motor still does it syinked the carbs 50 times new gear box the carbs are new before I got it but previous owner had the same problem that's y they were replaced. I can put new plugs in and fly it and have no issues for about 2 flights 3 flight it will have a 3 to 400 mag drop by turning off the left mag so that means it is on the right mag I would think always the same has soft start module on it. Had annual done all compression is 78 over 80 all 4 cylinders. it is a Rans s7s if that matters had another motor just like this in a same style airframe and never had this issue. the plugs will be black when you pull them upper and lower and it varies from right to left on the front cylinders never the rear ones change the plugs and runs like a top all day for 2 flights no problem. Thanks in advance.

the #1 and #2 plugs will usually be darker, this is due to unequal fuel distribution at idle.
The S7 engine mount allows the engine shake at idle, making this situation worse.
Try checking your plugs after a flight, and before a lot of idling time. they will probably be OK.

I will check it it seems to be worse when you fly it a couple times let it sit for a week and then it will for sure almost need plugs sometimes a loop around the pattern and it will clean them up some times.

I would be surprised if the flywheel itself was broken. More likely the trigger coil came lose on its mount. If it isn't broken then it just needs to be adjusted to have the proper air gap. There is a max and minimum air gap tolerance. Don't set it at the max. Better to be towards the minimum. If the trigger coil got damages of course you'll need a new one.

No not that I can see Roger it is just cracked ware the keyway is and it has rust coming out of it so it's been broke a while it has o clearance on the left mag trigger looking at it from the back of the motor the other side has about 10 thousands clearance so ordered new flywheel with the soft start

Gerad,
How many hours on the engine and year of Mfg?
Make sure you file a CSIR (customer service information report) to Rotax via your regional distributor.

It has 1001 hrs on it Roger I'll take a picture of it when I get it off the guy I got the flywheel from said he has seen it before I'm thinking it had the speg bearing changed about about 150 hrs ago thinking it broke when it was reinstalled just wasn't noticeable then that's when the spark plugs became an issue looking back at the motor history

If someone was in there working on the sprag clutch then that very well may be the smoking gun so to say as to why this area on your engine is having the issues you are experiencing.
