Lockwood Aviation had a price sheet at the Light Sport Expo showing engine pricing. I've attached the picture here. I was very surprised at the 915is pricing. Perhaps it's an introductory price to generate sales?

Looks about right!

But it doesn't come with any radiators oil coolers or inter-coolers due to different applications.

If you are happy with that price go buy one!

You will not be disappointed!

Yep and by the time you add the engine accessories, prop, ect... you'd be right up by $48k-$50K.

They say that the price of the engine will be about 1/3rd the total cost of the airplane; I can get a deal on a project plane for about 1/2 the original kit cost, and avionics are coming down, so it looks like I'd spend 1/2 the cost of the plane on the engine, overall. But, it hits a bucket list item, and it's not about saving money in this hobby, it's about being able to afford it. A $100K new experimental is a lot better than a $75K used certified where you have to spend another $25K to take care of deferred maintenance items.
