I just purchased a Quicksilver MX with a 377 Rotax. I know little of its maintenance history so I’m going to have it rebuilt. While on line I found some one with a Brand new 0 hour 377. It looks set up differently than mine. Is the core engine the same on all 377’s that I can move the external parts from the old to the new?

    Be aware that the type 377, with points ignition, was discontinued more than 30 years ago.  As such any "new" one sitting around should be completely stripped and checked for rust and all seals changed at the very least.
