    Marc,

Problem is in the circuit controlled by the right switch. When you killed the left switch, the right switch was already dead and the engine stopped. I would start with the easy stuff. Check all the wiring from the flywheel housing to the dead CDI module for breaks or loose or corroded spade connections. Check the right kill switch circuit to be sure it is not grounded somewhere. Usually, those areas are where the problem is. If not there, It could be in the stator, the pickup, or the CDI module. Check all the wiring first.

    Marc,

Let me add this. If you are not sure which module is the dead one. pull the wires from the spark plugs from either module. Each module has two spark plug wires that go to one plug in each cylinder. If you unplug the dead module, the engine will start. If you unplug the good one, it wont start.

    Thanks again
