    Ian,

    Just noticed on one of your posts that expected cruise RPM would be 6500. Your cruise RPM will probably be much lower than that. 6500RPM is the recommended maximum continuous RPM for the 582.

    Just a thought, but a local machine shop might be able mill one degree off the blocks you have now. If you have an extra set, you might give that a try. I've seen this done. The trick is that they don't necessarily have to be exactly one degree, but they all do have to be exactly alike.

    I was quoting directly from the Rotax Operators Manual that came with the engine Bill. But I am aware that 6500 is too high for cruise anyway. My T500 Thruster likes to cruise at 55kts and shows 5400RPM to achieve this.
    I don't think I'll bother getting a machine shop to alter my pitch blocks, as the desired result might not be achieved - then I would need new pitch blocks anyway. I'll see if I can source some 11* blocks locally, even if only on loan, as an experiment to see what the result would be.
