Hello,I just dissambly my bing carburator,Its my first time so I realized that the needle cup is brokken foward the hole that insert the needle. Its that correct.

    Agustin,

    There should be no breaks in that plastic spring cup. Depending on where the break is, it could cause problems such as pinching the rubber O ring on the needle or causing the cup to not slide into the carb piston properly.

    Thank for your reply, but I dont said the Plastic, I Said the needle CLIP, I made a mistake.
    this niddle clip, is brokenn foward the hole.
    Is that correct

    agustin,

    I think I understand now. The needle clip is split through hole that the needle fits in. This allows the clip to open enough to change needles or needle clip positions. Always be careful when changing needles or clip positions. If you open the clip too far, it can remain open and fit loosly around the needle. This loose fit is the reason that the small O ring is on the top of the clip. The O ring prevents the needle from spinning or vibrating in the clip and wearing out. A proper clip will have a straight split through the center of the hole that holds the needle.

    If I remember correctly, the clip may have rounded edges at the forward end of the split to make it easier to insert or remove the needle.
