One thing I should also mention because I see it all the time

Make sure you mount the fuel pump drain hole towards the ground (downwards) to drain the oil condensate from inside the fuel pump

If this oil condensate cannot escape the fuel pump then the diaphragm can hydraulically lock and cause the fuel pump to become inoperable.

This drain hole is located at the back of the fuel pump on the brass elbow (Tiny pin hole)

Also don’t mount the fuel pump directly to the engine.

I am only replacing fuel lines. Everything has worked perfectly the first five hours last Fall. If the drain hole is on the pump itself, then I shouldn't have to touch it.
