Hello all,

I am helping out a friend of mine with his 582. He noted a loss in RPMs on a recent flight. We changed the plugs, filters and also while we were at it did a compression test.

Compression was 131 on the PTO side and 121 on the Mag side. Question is, is this differential in readings enough to cause an issue or be worried about? The engine has about 120 hours on it and was produced in 2008 so I figure it is getting close to a top end cleaning anyway.

By the way, changing plugs and filters seemed to be what the engine wanted and ran good on the next flight.
