Re: odd dips in fuel pressure, pump problem?
by RUSSELL A DUFFY » 3 months ago
I thought I had ruled out the sensor because I can turn on the electric pump and it stays rock solid. If it was just the sensor, I would have expected it to continue fluctuating. I went through several of those VDO fuel and oil pressure sensors when they were mounted on the engine, and eventually relocated both to the firewall. Since then I haven't had issues (that I know of) with either.

The only thing I hadn't changed was the fuel pressure sender, but I changed that today. The picture is constant 5300 RPM cruise at 3000 ft. This has to be some sort of cosmic joke... Maybe I should just quit looking at it :-)
