Hi everybody.

How comes that the 912 USL-FR (Blue valves cover) are derated at 90 hp @5500 RPM ?

What are the differences with a regular 912 ULS ?

Where may I find the proper operator manual with its performances ?

Is it possible to retrofit them when overhaul, if yes, what should be done ?

Mine is S/N 4430049.

Thanks for reading and helping.

    Hi Pipart

The ULSFR was simply the standard ULS 100 HP.  The "derated" spec sheet was to comply with the French regulations at the time that called for an HP limit in the micro-light class at the time in France. (Before EASA)

Simply use the norma ULS parts list and follow all the standard practices.  The only difference is the spec sheet that limits the RPM to keep it at the lower power limit.  This is done by pulled back the throttle, nothing magic here.  The blue serial tag with the ULSFR and the blue valve covers are unique to this engine.

    Cheers

Some additional help...download the latest 9 series carb engine maintenance manual line, MML, and you can find the TBO by serial range.

    Hope this helps
