Thanks Roger. Yep, I did remove the 4 wires on the shunt and clean them. The 5 grounds were checked and also tight. I figured the washers were like that for exactly the reason you mentioned, just seemed like an odd solution. Right now things are working like normal again, after the regulator connection cleaning and the shunt wire cleaning. So, we'll see if the original high amps draw problem comes back or not.
We'll look into the Earth-X battery upgrade, I've heard good things about those as well. Thanks for the help!
