I check throttle and choke movement at every annual. I just had one sticking and lubed it really good and it took care of the issue.

I don't try to repair/lubricate sticking cables (except as a temporary measure) - I replace.
Its a very infrequent, relativly small cost, a pain in the rectum to do but delivers reliable, in synch carburettor movement, for the next many hundreds of hours of operation😈
