Since the 914 engine fails without an electric fuel pump operating, I'd like some real time monitoring of the pump/s.

Wondering what the best way to do this is?

Could I just install a fuel pressure gage on the inlet side of the regulator?

I know that fuel pressure changes with throttle, but if there is a minimum number that a functional pump would produce, I can set my Dynon warning below that.

I considered warning lights, but if the pump failed and still had an uninterrupted circuit, it wouldn't help.

Just wondering. What are the odds that both fuel pumps fail at the same time? The 912IS,915 and 916 have a similar arrangement.

My biggest concern would be losing complete electrical power. I do monitor the electrical power at the pumps with a indicator light.

    I too have a 914.
