I also moved my sender to the fire wall and have rock solid readings. There is alot of vibration out on the front of the engine where Rotax mounts the sender. If you Google this problems you will see lots of write ups on other forms showing that this has been an ongoing problem. See this thread about how to move the sender to the fire wall and who sells the parts to do it. Look for the date 11/13/2010 for the correct post after you pull up the thread on the form. Good Luck! ;)

Not only is John correct...he is the one that suggested it to me! And as you know, seldom do helpful hints work out as hoped for...in this case it was dead on. :cheer:

Lockwood has a kit just for this. You will need to buy a piece of your own fire sleeve though.

    Hi There.

We installed a Honeywell sensor in stead of a VDO sensor. Now the FLydat is displaying 48 which means 4,8 bar with no motor running at all. We upgraded the firmware to 2.56 (the newest I think?).
The flydat is still displaying 48. We installed the resistor 67,3 Ohm.
When we turn on the Flydat, sometimes it displays 'Service!'.
Does anyone know what the problem is, with the sensor? Or flydat software?
We tried to search for upgrades on the rotax site/TL electronics site but we can't find software for the flydat. We only have a little cd with firmware upgrade 2.56.

    Can anyone help us ?

    Hi Cor,

The problem with the Honeywell unit is many units don't read it.
