I will need to take a hard look . I might need to fold the wings to get in there. Should I run a Y so it will go into both tanks?

    Hi Ryan,

Bob is right about using a recirculation line, but you can plumb it from the fuel distribution block with a brass fitting (there is a port already there) and just run it down into the top of the gascolator or if you chose back to the tank. Most gascolator's are setup for this arrangement. A fuel pressure gauge is a nice thing to have.

This plane was built by the Rans employee club. There is no block in the fuel system. They used a brass T. The fuel system comes from the tanks to a T, single line to a drain, then a shut off, from there to through the firewall into a fuel filter. From there to the gasolator. From there out of the gasolator to the fuel pump, out of fuel pump to a fuel brass T to the carbs. Can I buy one of those blocks and tie it in. I don't think I have another port in the gasolator.

Yes you can buy that. It's a Rotax part. One input from the fuel pump, and four outputs: one for each carb, and two with restrictors in them to be used for fuel gauge and return line.

Most gascolator's have the third port. It is on top and some people use that hole as a mounting spot, but it is actually a third port. Actually the hose you mention through the firewall should stop on one side and have a metal barbed tube fitting that penetrates the firewall then the hose is reconnected on the other side. Hose should not be a straight through for obvious reasons. It's a safety issue. The early Flight Design fleet ended up changing this in an SB. I'm doing one as we speak today and installing a firewall blanket.
