Sealing water manifold tubes

Hi guys,
I have just removed, cleaned up all threads and adjusted all the water manifold tubes on the cylinders and waterpump cover. If I recall correct the manual sais Loctite 242/243. But I just spoke to a friend with cleaned up his and aplied the appropriate loctite thread sealand but his water tubes leaks a drop every ones in a while.
Would appriciate to know what the best sealand would be. 577 ? 547 ?
