Rotax 912 Voltage Regulators?

in 912 / 914 Technical Questions 10 years ago
Can someone tell me the difference between the new Rotax voltage regulator with part number 965-349 and the older model with part number 264-870. Do these two regulators have the same "footprint" so that the attachment to the aircraft is the same for both?
