    You can buy one new module of the same p/n as your originals for about $1000 or you can buy two new modules with the "soft start" built in for $1000 for both. I sent my modules to Lockwood to be tested and they both failed, taking as much as 35 seconds and way too high a RPM before they started to fire. I bought the new style modules and all is well.

    My engine was built in early 2006 and the tech said there have been problems with modules built around that time frame, which I guess includes yours as well.

    Ah, the joys of aircraft ownership.
