Trying to setup my new 912 using the 332-8 aeroquip hose (1/2") and slip on fitting that came with the engine from the dealer. The problem is that I can't get the hose on to the fittings. The fittings are the correct ones for the oil cooler, tank & suction for the oil pump. What am I doing wrong? Is this the correct hose to be using?

1/2" (13mm) is the correct size. Some hose like Aeroquip has no give and it was designed for a specified fitting type. Some just push it over a barbed fitting. On your oil tank the flared end on the oil tank fitting make make it a little harder to push on. Try some universal lube, "spit" on it and try again. It will fit, but may be a little snug. If the hose is cold warm it up first with a heat gun and try again.

I had problem with this. You should warm up hoses, lubricate them. In hard cases I used a piece of hard plastic foil to fit hose. I made cone on fitting, lubricate it and it's helps me to slide hose on fitting. You have to remove foil after.
