912 ULS (error in topic).

Hi. This summer I'll try to tow gliders by my C42A.
Plane is designed for towing up to 650kg glider and has oryginal TOST hook.
I'm looking for advises from somebody who tried to do this on ultralight. Especially I'm curious about tricks on cooling system. Now my plane heats up to 100*C CHT on long climbing but I expect that with glider it will not be so comfortable.

To avoid overheat I installed flybox minieis with temperature alerts but I'm curious what I can do to improve cooling of engine.

It I will have problem's I'm thinking about:
- replace oil cooler with water/oil exchanger like in C42B and later
- use oil cooler as an extra water cooler (can I use the same, cleaned cooler for water? )
- load/unload propeller - with way?

I have found the coolant/oil heat exchanger is less effective than a separate coolant and oil radiator.

Maybe someone else has had better experiences with them, but everyone here where it is hot has had over heating issues with exchangers and did not with separate radiators.
Use a larger radiator if you can.

Definitely change your prop pitch to be a better climb prop. (less pitch) I would think you may want to see 5700-5800 on climb out to utilize your engine's full potential.
If you set this up to tow planes then it may be good for that, but you might have the be careful when by yourself not to over speed the engine rpm. you'll have to try a few test to give you some real life numbers.

Even with changes you may have over heating and it may depend on your plane design and OAT's (hot verse cold)

Anyone else here have any tips or real life experience to share with him?

Uhm, there is no space for bigger cooler. Maybe I'll find something for additional (second) small water cooler.

Why in in-flight manual they told:

    With propeller Kiev Prop BB 263/1700 3-blade (1,71 m Ø)

    Pitch 22,0°at r = 0,4 m from hub,
full throttle rpm on the ground max.
    4800 propeller rpm approx. n = 2100

    Very low RPM...
