Neither my engine nor carbs meet the S/N criteria but I did replace the floats with the "new" floats in April 2015.

However, I'm confused by Criteria C), on page 3 of 3 of the ASB. It says "Further all engines are affected, which have been equipped with floats with part no. 861185 during engine repair, maintenance or general overhaul as of May 09, 2016" (my bolding). Does that mean floats that were replaced before May 9 satisfy the criteria or floats replaced after May 9 satisfy the criteria?

To satisfy Criteria C, your floats must have been replaced with floats that were manufactured AFTER May 9th, 2016.

Floats produced before that date do not fall under the scope of this Alert Service Bulletin.

    Hi Everyone,

This seems to be confusing to many on the new float SB. This is NOT a widespread recall.

It is straightforward. If you bought or replaced your floats before May 2016 or purchased an engine prior to that you are not included. The service centers here in the US most likely have floats that were purchased prior to May 2016 from what I have been able to ascertain.

This is a very small number of people to say the least. If you buy new floats from a service center that were purchased and received before May 2016 you're good.
