Team,

Let me rephrase an earlier question: what is the minimum static RPM the Rotax 914 can take (so as not to stress it in an unreasonable way) at WOT (115% throttle so 100% power) when doing a static run at standard ISA and sea level?

In most fixed pitch light sport airplanes I flew I have seen numbers between 5000 and 5500 (sometimes go down even further when climbing at Vx). Obviously the farther from 5500 the less efficient the climb can be but that is not my question.

That should tell an indication of the most coarse pitch I should ever set on my prop.

Thanks for your insights.

Jeff
