On my low time engine, the EGT on cylinder #3 (right side) reads hundreds of degrees lower than the cylinder #4 EGT (left side). The engine also runs significantly rougher on the right ignition only than on the left ignition only. The engine hasn't been run a lot over the winter months and the auto fuel in the tanks is a couple of months old. I am thinking there is a fuel delivery issue to the right side cylinders due to carb fouling by the old auto fuel. Before I start dissecting the right carb, does this sound like the likely cause? Thanks.

    Despite the myriad of myths concerning the spontaneous decomposition of gasoline,
    There is no reason to suspect that fuel that is a couple of months old is necessarily "Bad".

    The engine needs three things to operate properly, Fuel, Air, And Spark.
    The Fuel and Air on the Right Side come from the Right Carburetor.
    It feeds Both Cylinders #1 and #3.
    If it was a fuel mixture problem, both Right Cylinders would have the same problem.
    If #1 is OK and #3 is problematic, it isn't a fuel/Air issue.

    I would suspect an Electrical/Wiring/Grounding/Ignition/Spark problem first.

    Pull upper plugs on both cyls to compare color/contamination. Would suspect that #3 with low EGT is not firing properly. Look for fouling.
    Set gap around .024". Might need plug replacement.
