I just read a mandatory bulletin on the need to install a fuel return line on all 912 engines. This must be new because my plane has just had a fresh annual and this topic did not come up. Annual was 2 days ago.
I did not see a time frame for completion.
Thoughts please,
Rich

I have an Evektor for ten years, and the fuel installation is exactly as in the bulletin ...
Maybe the manufacturer of your device could inform you?

I believe it is the AIRCRAFT Mfg that will ultimately determine if it is required to be fitted.
My aircraft Mfg says it will remain an option.
My personal thoughts are that as my aircraft is a "high wing" it is not needed.

Rotax has wanted the recirculating line for many years it just changed the language in the manual. I know some that come to the shop with them since the late 1990's. Many engines in the earlier days were open air exposed and ran cooler, but now many are inside tight cowls which maintains more heat. The newer Corona pump is better off with it to.

Thanks for the replies. I contacted my mechanic and the return line is there. It's routed back to the inlet side of the gascolator from the spider manifold where the orifice is located.

... the return line is ... routed back to the inlet side of the Gascolator ...

    That may be problematic.
It needs to go to a location that is vented. Preferably the Fuel Tank.
Returning Air/Vapors to the Gascolator allows it to accumulate and return back to the engine.
It will eventually find its way to the carburetors and vented from the bowls
but that defeats the purpose of a Vent Line returning the vapors to the fuel tanks to be vented.
