I have been told by a knowledgeable source that certain Rotax serial numbers were assigned to engines that should have never found they way onto the open market, and should have been destroyed rather than sold to the general public, but wont provide more detail regarding the first and only intended user/purpose. Is anyone aware if this issue ?
