..and hrre is the redult of the 2 blades Wodcomp prop tests. The configuration is just the same, like mine: plane/prop.

What do you suggest to use:
    100 octane mogaz (car petrol)
    Or
    95 octane mogaz (car petrol)?

    Hi,
I ask your advise. My TL-Sting RG S4 oil temperature is extremly high.
The oil temperature is 120°C -125°C during climbing from take of to 400feet and after continues the climbing to 8000feet. (on 4000feet is 120°C already)
We changed the oil cooler for a new one, which is double sized of the original (19 pipe lines instead of 9 pipe lines, with the double surface)
Carburetor overhold, pipes changed for new, the plane is well maintanaced with official, certified Rotax service master.
My climbing process:Take off 5800rpm full throttle. On 100feet engine 5200Rpm (with prop reduced). On 1000feet manifold pressure is reduced to 25-26mmHg.
On cruising level all the parameters are OK: full throttle with 21 mmHg, 5000Rpm, oil pressure 2-3bar+, oil temperature 95-100˘C, exhaust: 650-750°C, cílinder head (water) 85-90°C
We do not know why is 120-125°C the oil at cruising period.
    OR!! Is it OK??
Pls. give your advise what to do.

    Hi Peter,
according to the Rotax fuel consumption chart you egine should draw approx. 18l per hour at 4800 revs. At 5800 revs approx. 27l per hour are to be expected. Out of mere curiosity, has the calibration of the fuel flow meter been verified? Fuel flow is pretty much a function of revelution thus it springs to mind that the fuel flow calibration went off.

Do you happen to know your highest MAP reading during take off and the early phase of your flights?

Besides, 120 degrees Celsius during a long and steep climb up to 8000 ft does not seem to be a critical temp at all. What does you engine manual say on max and critical oil temps? Usually the climb speed is a lot lower than cruise speed. At a lower speed with a high power setting the oil cooler has less airflow „available“ to extract the heat from the oil. 120 degrees should not worry you a too long time, I‘d say..

    Regards
    Peter
