Pre-Heating

At what temperature should you pre-heat a ROTAX 912? On my previous aircraft (Lycoming & Continental) I’d heat below 40 F. Are ROTAX any different?

I would say below 40F and absolutely below 32F. It's just easier on the engine. The best system to use is the Tanis engine pre-heat. They built a model just for the Rotax.

The Reiff preheater is specific to the Rotax 912 and is EXCELLENT.
