During a prop strike inspection, the crankshaft radial run out was checked and found to be within limits. The gearbox was sent out for inspection and now is back ready to be installed. The Heavy Maintenance Manual Chap. 72-00-00 Sec. 3.9.16 says to measure the runout again after installing the drive gear, washer, and nut.

Any idea why this needs to be checked again? (I'm not trying to be lazy, just curious.)
