From time to time, particularly when the ambient temperature is very cold it seems like the engine starts on only 2 cylinders and runs very roughly and won't respond to throttle increases. It will not recover to run properly when this happens and the only solution is to switch off and start again.

 

Does not appear to be a mag problem as switching each off in turn changes nothing. Looks like there is an issue with one carb when staring from cold.

We replaced the diaphragms, & floats a while back and the choke valves appear to operate properly.

 

Any suggestions ?
