    Bill, Actually, I'm going up with 4800 to 4900 rpm, because the pitch of my helix is fixed and with this ramp I work with 34 inches of pressure on the turbo, if I force it more it will go to 37 inches of pressure. Now I bought a variable pitch propeller in flight, manufactured by Wood Comp, a tripod propeller with a 68 cm propeller length. I hope to be able to work with the engine more relieved on the uphill ramp. What do you think?

    Your fixed pitch prop is badly lugging the engine at 48-4900 RPM.

    A 68 inch, 3-blade, In-Flight Adjustable Prop should be just what you need to get the RPMs Up and the Temperatures Down.

    You will want to be close to 5800 RPM for the first 5 minutes of the climb.  <=5500 rpm Thereafter.

    Bill,

    Thanks for the feedback; for your knowledge today my Storm weighs 480 kg empty (1058 lb) and with AVGAS (88 liters ~ 154 lb), plus my weight 107 kg (236 lb), plus passenger 100 kg (220 lb) and 20 kg of luggage (44 lb). I will have the plane weighing in at 777kg (~ 1713 lb). How much can I consider my climb rate at 5700rpm at 914?

    There is not enough information to answer your question directly, However...

    Going from 4800 to 5700 rpm will produce about a 15hp increase.

    15hp = 495,000 lb∙ft/min.

    495,000 / 1700lbs = Theoreticaly, a 290 ft/min increase in your climb rate.

    If you have been operating at other than Full throttle, then the increase will be significantly greater.

    Isn't 777Kg way over gross for that aircraft???

    Bill,

    It really is at the limit, for some maybe even above, but I usually fly with a friend and most of them weigh around 220lb and when I travel I take luggage that weighs around 44lb.
    If I'm alone he already flies 1500 lb on one trip.
    If it is a local flight and alone there this weight drops to 1450 lb and full tanks. Thanks for the feedback and explanation, however the new helix governor will greatly improve performance and possibly reduce the temperature.
    I bought it in the USA a little while, but still waiting for the fiberglass part that helps in the ventilation of the engine fins, that part that goes over the engine and captures the outside air to help the engine cooling.
