I’ve got a year now on my Whirlwind GA RW 3B STOL prop, all off my old farm field now a grass strip, 1,000 ft long with trees at each end.  No complaints, good climb performance and it’s holding up well on the nose of my Zenith 701 with the 80hp Rotax.

I just talked to Whirl Wind and the blades will work on my Warp Drive hub and spinner. That's the RW3B-75 STOL prop. I had a 82 inch WW on my CH801 with O-360 180HP. Their props are like art, very well made and their service support is fantastic. They can repair these blades and replace the nickle LE's. I think I will go for these new blades and keep my hub, saves me about $1,000.

Thanks for this great info.  I have Warp drive 70" w/nickel edges on Rotax 912 ULS.   I need to climb.  That's about it.  Zenith 701STOL that is primarily going to tow to altitude and release.  Care a lot about decreasing noise below also.

With this info, it's pretty clear that I'll be switching to a Whirlwind (unless someone has a better idea).   I'll talk to the company about specific prop selection, but I assume it'll be the same one you guys listed (RW3B-75 STOL prop).

Being able to use the Warp Hub was a great piece of advice!  (Might switch hub though to sell the virtually new Warp Drive as one whole set).

Warp Drive prop has about 60 hours on it (total Hobbs, which is about 30 hours flight time...in phase I flight testing), in case anyone knows someone who would like to buy a virtually new Warp Drive (for some other application) and motivate me to swap for the whirlwind.

    Thanks guys!
