Coolant/Glycol Pressure Sender

Hi,

I have a Rans S6, we are currently re-designing the panel to use VDO compatible instruments.

Our current coolant/glycol pressure does not have a sender.  The pipe from coolant system is connected directly to instrument which is acting directly as a pressure gauge.

Has anyone incorporated a setup whereby there is a pressure reader/switch located more locally in the coolant system that then utilises a sender to a VDO compatible instrument?

Also, what are your thoughts on the necessity of a coolant pressure instrument?
