Hello,

I wonder if anyone knows the angle to set the cylinder #3 bottom coolant elbow. I am changing the head for that cylinder and unfortunately removed the elbow from the old head without taking note of the angle. The replacement head was a #2 so the angle the elbow was at wont be of much help.

Of course, once I install the cylinder on that position, temporarily install the head I can figure the angle using the hose. Maybe the easiest way but wonder if there is an angle documented anywhere out there.

Thanks,

Chris

I would put it together DRY.
Once you get everything assembled and lined up, Flood the Threads with Locktite and jog the fitting back and forth for a few seconds to allow the thread locker to penetrate.
Use very fresh (a.k.a New) Locktite. It tends to thicken as it ages.

If you try to Mark and Remove, you may find that even a very small error makes a big difference.

Thanks Bill, I agree that mounting the head and obtaining the angle in that manner is the way to go.
