You might find the cutaway views in this article interesting. Scroll down the page to the cutaway view of the full pump. Like most things Brian Carpenter writes, it’s an interesting and informative read. He creates the 3D models himself as teaching tools.

Jeff - that is a terrific write up on the Rotax fuel pump - my thanks.
Other than voiding warranty (a serious consideraton) I am still unsure about the potential to rotate the "cap" to change the orientation of the spigots.
If its not possible, for the home builder" to do this without causing damage to the pump it would seem to me that Rotax could easily offer pumps with spigots in different positions around the "clock".
