G’day fellow aviators,

My Rotax, 912ULS is in a 2009 TL 3000 Sirius. I have done 936 hours TT. I run a 1700mm 3 blade composite DUC in flight adjustable prop.

My EGT as per photo is running 552/ 584 deg c left/right. And my MAP is about 16 at cruise 5000 AMSL.

The EGT is quite low I see and the MAP and the high fuel burn. They advertise 18 lpm for my model at 75% cruise.

The spark plugs don’t show to be running Rich? However at 552/584 deg c or  1027/1086 def Fahrenheit. Is very low compared to the what I see reported?

Is this simply a needle position in carbs to resolve? or any other ideas things to check first?

All your temps are cool. Cruise shouldn't  be at 4800 rpm. Try 5200 - 5300 rpm and report back. What's  your OAT? Is this n in flight adjustable prop or ground adjustable? Have the carbs been adjusted?

That is running about 80% throttle, and the prop fully course, hence the lower rpm.

The EGT is not different materially at 5500.

I have an electric over hydraulic in flight prop controller. It drops rpm about 10-20% depending on load. The OAT was 9 deg c today at 5500AMSL. The carbs have been overhauled according to normal life. But these temps have been like this since I have had it that I recall. And no adjustment. To clarify, higher rpm and or less course prop has next to no difference on the temps. I gathered perhaps it was running too Rich, hence why too low EGT and higher fuel burn than others that fly this plane?

To me these temps are too low. I'd  check the carb needle clip position. When they did the carbs they may have put the needle in the wrong slot especially since you said it started after that.
