BUDS with Windows 10

Hello,

with my new computer HP/Windows 10, the BUDS v2.4 and a level 3 dongle, it isn't possible to extract load completely : the program stop after 80%.
It's possible to extract load with an other computer/windows8. I can copy the data on my new computer and read them.

Someone use a computer/windows10 with the BUDS v2.4 ?

    I can verify that BUDS 2.4 works fine with Windows 10 Pro (32-bit).

    Perhaps you just had a 'glitch'? I would advise trying it again. Make sure all connections are solid...

    Hello,

    I work with the same dongle and the same cable on the same aircraft, I just change the computer ( pass win10 to win8) and all run normaly.
    I think it isn't a connection problem, but perhaps a windows10/BUDS 2.4 bug ...

    We haven't been able to reproduce the issue on Win10 here. Were you able to reliably, repeatedly fail the win10 data capture?? (after starting the process again from scratch?) Or did you immediately switch to a win8 machine?

    When I say "glitch" it could be something other than a loose connection, could for example be a data spike induced by nearby lightning strike or even an arc welder starting up in the next room (especially if un-shielded cables are involved). Such an event could possibly 'hang' the BUDS software.

    "Glitch" could also be something as transient as a 'single event upset' - a "soft error" where a sub-atomic particle cruises right through your computer's RAM chip and flips a bit. Pretty rare, but it does happen!
