The gallons US per minute unit number 0.00026 gal/min converts to 1 g/min, one gram (water mass) per minute.

i.e.   15 grams (water mass) per minute to gallons US per minute = 0.0040 gal/min

    or

15 grams (water mass) per minute to milliliters per minute = 15.00 mL/min

thanks for the expination of g/min. My issue is that I use a Advanced 5600 EFIS to display my 912iS engine paramiters. Fuel flow at 5430 (about 95% throttle)

shows on the 5600 as 2.2 gal per min, which seems to be about half what it should be assuming the engine is in the ECO mode. So I will take the dongle and computer on the next flight and see what the CPU' have to say about fuel flow. Richard

Check the K-Factor in Fuel Setup.
The 912is reports on the CAN-BUSS as if it were a flowmeter producing 3500 pulses per gallon.
Your K-Factor might be set in the 6000-7000 range causing it to display about half expected.

countries who do not use metric system....

Myanmar, Liberia, and the US of A....but it is fun looking up the old units....measure of flow rate...

    "slug feet per minute"  !!!

Hi Glenn, havent seen you on the forum for a while. Perhaps you are consuming too much coffee? Gallons amd PSI are just fine for me, better than K-Liters and Pascals. Different strokes for different folks.

The K factor was set at 680. I changed it to 3500 and  on a 3300 RPM ground test the flow indication did not change. If the weather ever gets suitable for a flight I will do in flight tests. I suspect I will contact Advances Flight Systems about the issue.
