After sitting for a couple of weeks, I start the engine and the A lane starts flashing.   The EGT for #1 is x’d out.  When I cycle the lane A it shows about 1750 then goes up to 1800+. From a cold start, #1 shows up first in the Garmin screen, and quickly gets over 1700.  

Several times cycling it does the same thing.  I think it’s either the sensor or the fuel injectors.  But the only event that happened was that I ran the battery out when I updated the navigation.  

I’m thinking the next step is to swap the EGT and see if the problem follows the probe.  Wondering if anyone else has any better ideas.  I’m hoping that I can get the EGT off.   The last time I tried it on #4, it was frozen and I couldn’t get it off when I had to do repair for an exhaust leak last year.
