Loose bolt discovered on crankcase
While doing an oil change at 525 hours on my 915is in a SlingTsi I noticed a bolt that was loose a few turns. I tried to find the torque spec in the heavy maintenance manual, but was unable to find it. I did an AI search and it referenced the MMH 72-20-00 about crankcase assembly torque spec, and the final torque sequence was 50Nm. I’m assuming this is a primary M10 bolt, but unable to find it called out anywhere. What are the implications of this bolt getting loose (about 3 or so turns? Shouldn’t it have Loctite on it? Could there be any damage?
I saved an oil sample and will submit it for analysis.
the compression check was perfect, 4x 80/80.
I torqued it to 50Nm, and put torque seal on it and will check it. Should I pull it out and apply LOCTITE?
