Anyone know if you can add EIS parameters on Garmin Pilot? I have a 916IS w/ G3X and would like to track a few more parameters than the default list (fuel pressure and intake temp for instance).  BTW, I’ve been a long time ForeFlight user, but recently switched to Pilot. After a little transition pain, I’m really liking it. I really like that I can pull up flight and engine information with the flight log.

    Jason,

I don’t know about displaying these on Garmin Pilot, but they should first be displayed on your G3X.

The intake air temp is (I believe) available via the Rotax Display and Maintenance CAN bus’s. So you should be able to add this to your G3X EIS page via the GX3 GDU460 configuration mode.  You would choose “Rotax FADEC” as the input source when configuring that gauge display.

Fuel pressure indication is a requirement of the Rotax injected engines and that signal must come from a differential type fuel pressure sender that is not part of the Rotax Display CAN.  The fuel pressure sender is typically mounted at the inlet of the fuel pressure regulator but must be supplied by the aircraft manufacturer or builder. This sender is then wired to the Garmin engine interface module (GEA-24) and then programmed via the Garmin GDU460 Display configuration mode.

To clarify, I have all of the metrics on the G3X, but not all show as options in Garmin pilots EIS.
