finding the Rotax engine manufacture date and model

Customer asks:

Can any information be obtained about my 582 S/N 6911895?

S/N: 6911895

Unfortunately, this engine serial number does not appear in the Rotax database. This typically means that the serial number is either incorrect or that the engine is a snowmobile version of the 582 (commonly referred to as the 583) that has been converted for use in an aircraft application.

We do not have access to records or technical information related to Rotax snowmobile engines. Double-check the engine S/N and maybe upload a photo of it so we can verify.
