valve tappet and lifter inspection

Hi Roger, can you tell me if the engine must be warmed up to perform the subject inspection??

Hi Bill,

Is there are specific reason you want to inspect these? Is this just an outward visible look and check inspection or something more detailed?

Apparently, this inspection was supposed to be done with the lube oil purge. I didn't do it then, so it's something I still have to do. The engine has been run three times, for about .8 hrs on the hobbs. I'm at a good place to do it now, O ring kit is on order and has shipped.

If you have run the engine 8 hrs. since the oil purge then don't bother. If there was an issue you would have know more than 7.5 hrs. ago. :ohmy:
The valve / lifter check was to make sure there was not a lot of air behind the lifters before engine start. It's long past that point.
