Hi,
I have a rotax engine (503) on a gyrocopter.

While I had the fuel lines replaced in a recent servicing, there is still one section of fuel line that I need to replace that goes into the gas tank. I ordered some new fuel line hose (alcohol resistant) http://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/appages/bingfuel.php

My question is, do I just push the fuel line onto the fittings? Or do I use a "heat gun" on the fuel line after I push it onto the fittings? I've read that I should use clamps on all the fuel lines. Is this true, and if so, any recommendations for correct type?

thanks!

All fuel lines should have clamps. Use either an Oetiker or fuel injected clamp. The fuel injected clamps can be purchased locally from most automotive stores. Do not over tighten your clamps.

Personally I wouldn't use plastic hose. Buy some real fuel hose. Most automotive stores carry Gates fuel hose and it is alcohol compatible since it goes in our autos.
