I have a 503 inverted 503 on my Challenger Ultralight. The EGT temps on the mag end cylinder is reading just slightly lower then 600/620cel. The spark plugs have a ting of light grey colour to them. While the PTO cylinder EGT temps are 550cel, and spark plug colour is good.
I have checked that there is no air getting in at the fuel lines. The carbs have been balanced.
Should I be concerned? Not sure how to lower the temps on the mag cylinder.

A few things to check -
Crankcase leaks - Any leak at seals, gaskets and mating surfaces.
Stuck rings - remove the exhaust manifold and inspect the pistons /cylinder condition. Dismantle and decarbon if you don't have free ring movement.
Carb balance - if there is not a mechanical reason for the imbalance then your carb balance is suspect.
