    Hi Roger
UK pilots (like the recent addition) all seem to use the 4800/26 settings. Could this be related to climate ? Seems most odd.

The Sport Cruisers here in the US and more specifically the ones I see and talk to only have ground adjustable props and use 5100-5300 rpm for cruise with a WOT setup at 5600. Of course they can't do anything with their Map so must of us here just fly rpm. What we all want to try and accomplish is to not lug the engine down.

OK, I have now adjusted my prop to give me.
    WOT,5600 RPM
    Climb on takeoff, 5100 RPM.
    Cruise at 5000 RPM.
that 95 mph cruise in my Rans S7, up by 15 mph.
Hoe dose that sound to you?

    Sounds good to me.
You should have better climb, faster speeds, better fuel economy in cruise, lower engine temps, less stress on the engine and a happier pilot. :)
A better question is: Are you happy with the difference?
