Date of manufacture of 912ULS

This is with respect to 912UL S/N: 9580753

If you could help me on this.  Prior to purchasing this engine from Lockwood I asked to ascertain that it was fresh stock and was assured it was.  They didn't have it on hand, it was coming from the BRP warehouse.  Now finding out it was produced a year ago doesn't impress me as being fresh stock.  And I won't be mounting it for one to two months.  Is it normal for us to receive an engine that's been in the warehouse for close to a year?  I'm not getting hung up on the "letter of the law".  Rather I decided to make the investment in a new engine for reliability and longevity.  I'd appreciate thoughts.  Scott

Could you please provide the year of manufacture. I am curious about TBO on this engine & would like to know if this series of engine is susceptible to case fretting.
