I'm about to begin the process of replacing fuel lines. I bought gates barricade as that seems to the best thing. However, upon looking at the hose, the inside is not smooth like other hoses, usually cheaper, I have bought in the past. There seems to be a ribbed surface inside and it is far from smooth. Is this an issue?

I ordered from https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00498G5QC but also went to the local auto store and got some to verify. The insides were also rough and there was some whiteness on the inside.

The automotive store also stocks non barricade gates fuel line that has a smooth inside to it. I'm curious why the more expensive stuff is not smooth like the cheaper stuff.

Also, any tips to keep the fiberglass from the fire-sleeve out of the hose when slipping it over?
